Orange, Yellow and Gold Wooden Mandala Brooch

My lightweight, wooden, hand-painted mandala brooches are 5cm in diameter, 2mm deep and have a pin and catch mechanism on the reverse.

Before painting the design, each wooden circle is gently sanded down, painted with a base coat of satin multi-surface acrylic paint then gently sanded again. This process ensures a nice, smooth surface for painting the design onto.

Once the design has been painted and is fully dry, the brooch is finished with a non-toxic, acrylic triple thick gloss varnish on the front to give it a shiny, glossy finish and a non-toxic, acrylic gloss varnish on the reverse.
