With its bold red, orange and yellow colour palette, ‘Midnight Marigold’ was inspired by the marigold flower of which there are many variations in both size and petal shape, structure and pattern, but all sharing the distinctive combination of red, orange and yellow hues. This design has a greater amount of ‘negative’ space than some of my other stones, which means the midnight black base colour really allows the bright colours to steal the show and lends itself well to the name of this bold beauty!
‘Midnight Marigold’ has been hand-cast using a medium/high density casting plaster for a durable, beautifully smooth finish. It has been intricately and lovingly hand-painted using high quality acrylic paints and protected with two coats of non-toxic satin varnish, enhancing the colours, giving a subtle sheen and protecting your stone paintwork from dust, moisture and UV damage. It has a felt disc adhered to the underside to protect your surfaces from scratches.
