'Ode to Portmeirion' 30cm mandala
My ‘Ode to Portmeirion’ mandala was inspired by my visit to this wonderfully pretty and unique place in North Wales. Built by Welsh architect, Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1973 who wanted to create the ideal village, Portmeirion became a unique tourist destination and was the location for the cult TV series ‘The Prisoner’ in the 1960’s. The colourful buildings and architecture inspired the colour palette for this piece and I have added teardrop mirrors for an extra touch of sparkle when the sunlight hits.
‘Ode to Portmeirion has been intricately and lovingly hand-painted using high quality acrylic paints and protected with a non-toxic matte varnish, enhancing the colours and protecting your mandala from dust, moisture and UV damage.
Materials: 30cm diameter / 1.8cm depth MDF round; acrylic paint, matte varnish, teardrop mosaic mirrors.
For indoor display only and not intended for children.
To keep your painting in good condition, simply lightly wipe with a clean, dry cloth.
